So it's another day off of school! 4 day weekend due to the crazy beautiful snow we've had here in Portland. The yard is still at least 4 inches deep (with a layer of ice from the freezing rain last night).
Here are the girls ready to go out and play! Ellie no longer has snow clothes so she's wearing my gear! I guess that means I can't go out with them... :) And Charlotte is wearing the gear Ellie had on in that last blog post from 2012. Time flies when you're having fun!

Random events of the week
First, there was a soccer game on Saturday...Ellie is running in from the left ready to help out.

It was so sunny Charlotte needed Daddy to keep her in the shade under the giant umbrella which we brought in case of rain. Not bad for fall soccer. So far we haven't had a game in the rain. We'll keep our fingers crossed!

So, I did some major demo in the downstairs. I didn't think I'd go as far as I did. But there you are. So we are in process. The girls wanted to do some painting, so I let them tackle the red wall with some primer. It still looks exactly like this since they only did the parts they could reach.

The reason it still looks like that is of course the home school portion of our lives! Here we are at the end our the studies today. We started the morning with a rousing workout led by P.E. teacher Daddy. The only hard part is getting our P.E. teacher out of bed. Too bad I didn't get a picture of that. Maybe next time!

Mrs. A
Here's a pic I forgot to get on the 1st day of school, so I grabbed Mrs. Anderson and snapped it today. Have to have a picture of our Kindy teacher! I remembered the camera, but we forgot Show and Tell. Oops. Starting early on that forgetting school stuff thing. I'm pretty sure Charlotte will remember from now on. Thankfully she had the little butterfly Dan and Cassy gave her for her backpack a couple years ago. Phew! Maybe I'll leave a backup show and tell in the car....

Kindergarten and 3rd Grade!
Our Kindergartener
With our 3rd Grader....
Heading into Cordeo!
It was a great day, for everyone! Smiles all around coming and going. What fun to have both girls at the same school now. What did I do? Well, Mick and I went to lunch, of course. And I have a very big project...this Old House! With gardens that need tending. More on that later. Now it's time to practice violin and piano and then head out to soccer practice and then Sparks. It's a very big first day!
